She's been looking for Jess since she heard. She's got Cadi with her and the little girl doesn't really know what's going on and there's no way that Charlie can explain it to her. Through years, Shari's been there, through losses and trials and now there's this big void where she ought to be. And she really needs Jess to be there.

She finally finds her, in the cottage. She lets Cadi down and then she stands in the doorway and wonders what the hell she's supposed to say.
